Charming Giveaway

Congratulations Karen.  Please contact me with your address.  Big Thank You to everyone else who stopped by for a chance to win and shared my giveaway.

Your 1 winner on “Charming Giveaway” are:

1) Karen Williams

I never really know when a charm is big enough to become a pendant. What is the cut off size? Are there charm police?

Pink lotus is the supreme lotus.

Pink lotus is the supreme lotus.

These are my new Half Lotus Charms I used in this pair of earrings.  The beads are my NEW faux Stoneware beads.  They started with a sketch and blossomed into this.

They have been in the works for some time now and hold a special meaning and timeless significance to me personally.

As the bearer of creation, the lotus flower holds a special place in mythology, in nature, in our lives. It symbolizes not only creation, but the timeless and continual process of birth and rebirth. At night, the lotus flower sleeps. At sunrise, with the waking of the sun, the lotus flower emerges to life. Just as in nature. Life is born, and reborn. Man dies, to be born again.

Lotuses are symbols of purity and ‘spontaneous’ generation and different colors symbolize different things.

Red lotus symbolizes the original nature of the heart.

Purple lotus is the mystic lotus.

Blue lotus is the symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, of intelligence and wisdom, of knowledge.

I will be offering my half lotus charms in all four of these colors.  The pink lotus is the one pictured in the earrings. What color are you?

Art Deco Charms.  These are inspired by the Art Deco Style defined by eclecticism, which describes me perfectly.  I have always been drawn in by Art Deco Style.

The 13mm polymer clay beads are my NEW faux Stoneware art beads.

The Art Deco charms started out as a circle and I changed it many times before I decided on this fan shape.  I think it’s better suited for the Art Deco Style.  I will be offering these in two more colors.

I’m giving away one Half Lotus, one Art Deco charm and four oval shaped Faux Stoneware beads to one winner.
