Congratulations! Please contact me by email with your mailing address.
I have been working out the kinks on my new Pod Flower Pendants. My first attempt I did the black layers flat and I did not like the look. So then I decided to cup them….much better. Then I lined the bottom and top flower cups with clay…nice. The top Pod cup on the left is different than the one on the right. I filled the Pod cup with clay instead of lining it. It looks better if I line it with clay and not fill it. It adds depth and dimension.
Now on the right Pod I made the top cup bigger and smaller on the left Pod. I like the look of the smaller cup on the left. How about you?
Next I needed to figure out how to string it.
I knew I did not want to poke a hole in it, so a bail was the only option. I won’t bore you with the details, but it took a bit work and lots of ruined clay before I decided on this bail design.
I think I worked out all the kinks, but I have some more ideas to make them all unique. So until I can get them made and posted on my website, I will be giving these two away.
Just leave a comment to be entered and a random winner will be post here on February 7th. Winner will not be notified.
So what’s on your beading table? Are you drowning in ideas, but no time to make them a reality? Or are you feeling uninspired?

Persistence, adaptability and creativity pays off! Love the purple one. Beautifully done.

I agree with you, Jeannie, I like the look of the smaller top cup. I think it’s more flower like.
I like them both, and I enjoyed reading about your design process. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.
drowning feels about right. Between the SAD and the sinus infection/headache, all I can do is think in short bursts about all the things I want to be doing. Come, Spring!
edie in NC, where it will be 76 degrees today and 31 tonight. What a wild ride!
These are very cool! I like both of them a lot, but definitely the one on the left better. Of course, that’s only because of the colors. . .
Beautiful work!
I love them both – the one on the left is my favorite but mainly because of the colors. I am drowning in ideas just wish I had more time to work on them :-)
They are both very fun but the one on the right would coordinate with my fuschia & orange sweater I’m wearing today. Would look great as a pin.
As for my workspace… its overrun with unfinished ideas and beads I pulled out trying to get a bit more inspired. Maybe February will be more inspiring than January was.
Yep I think you nailed those gorgeous flowers! What a project! You always amaze me!
